Car parking and City of Westminster

Those of you who read my story last November about having my car towed away by City of Westminster despite my having paid the parking fee on my mobile phone, will be thrilled to hear that two days before the Court Hearing (yes, I took them to court) they decided not to contest my appeal, on the grounds that they have now mysteriously found there was a fault with their telephone system that day. They rather grudgingly have said they will pay the c £300 fine back but I am now asking for costs on the grounds that they caused me huge inconvenience, taxi fares, a cold through standing in the pouring rain, and not an inconsiderable amount of annoyance and upset. Watch this space and I will let you know the end result.
