Careful David – no prizes for taunting the weak and feeble

Is this a valid point and if so, who answers the many questions that it raises? Has Gordon shown that he may not be emotionally strong enough to govern the country? One certainly could not have imagined Tony Blair having a fit of hysteria as a response to anything – he would have turned on the charm, played it down, laughed it off or any number of other subtefuges, but shaking with rage/nerves? one of the prequisites for a successful Prime Minister must surely be the ability to instill confidence in your leadership abilities ie. not only what you say but how you say it, so do we really want a man in charge who might be of a nervous disposition? Surely what has happened in recent weeks to the Labour party could be considered as a combination of unfortunate, rather annoying, depressing, some might even say frustrating, but not enough to lose the plot. Worse things happen at sea, Gordon. But David you need to be careful too – it simply isn’t British to hit a man when he’s down and taunting a nervous cornered animal might be described by some as a step too far.
