I love the letter in today’s Telegraph from one Michael Holmes, Old Catton in Norfolk – it is one of the funniest stories I have heard for a while! Scroll down the page – his letter is second from the bottom on the subject of the RAF and speed cameras.

    That little story is excellent! There’s got to be a market for anti-speed camera missiles! Every car should have them so that they automatically launch when a camera is detected ahead.

    can you imagine the fun you could have – launched from your back garden , into space, and back down to flatten some speed camera that just appeared on the new sat nav someone bought you for Christmas (complete with its own cruise missile). Pity the little old lady unsuspectingly walking along the pavement though…
