We are sacking this guy 18 months into a four, yes four year contract resulting in a £2.5m payoff for being utterly useless. Can someone tell me why it was necessary to give a four year contract to someone who was at best second choice (behind some portuguese bloke)! Why not pay him more for a shorter term to see how he turned out??
