After eight years as the official voice of London’s tube announcements, Emma Clarke has been sacked for recording a few spoof Tube announcements as a bit of fun.

I love the comment in this news item from a spokesman for Ms Clarke’s employers, Transport for London, which was: "London Underground is sorry to have to announce that further contracts for Miss Clarke are experiencing severe delays."

    I love this. Presumably Miss Clarke’s sense of humour will also be 'experiencing severe delays’!
