   Does it have the same effect if you are dropped from a great height? It could revolutionise rugby – in fact there are any number of physical activities where I can imagine it would come in quite handy…

   Seemingly, it was primarily developed for skiers, because so many of them go skiing without a helmet, instead wearing the latest fashion accessory – beanie hats of such crazy design that they wouldn’t necessarily look out of place at Ascot!
